Common sa mga Filipino ang hypertension and my husband is one of them. Year 2009, he started taking maintenance medicine for it. For several years, he had his laboratory tests to see possible side effects of his medication, until 2013 came. He had a flu that lasts for more than the usual, so we had him checked at the hospital and lab results showed a very high creatinine level. Only then that we realized, we haven't had his laboratory tests for the past two years. His doctor immediately ordered a dialysis for him upon seeing the lab results. We are hoping to avoid it, but his doctor said he is already on a critical stage, leaving us with no choice but for him to undergo the procedure. Dialysis is a horrible experience. He had it for two years and his sessions were all painful. They are draining my husband physically, mentally & emotionally knowing that this will be for life as dialysis is never a cure for chronic renal failure. But wait, a transplant is. Everyone who have been transplanted said my husband would feel like he's a new person just a few days after the operation. But of course, it is not that simple. It requires huge amount of money not only for the operation but for the post transplant medication as well and we are not financially capable to support it. I am a plain homemaker and my husband is the only bread winner of our family. His body is deteriorating slowly that is why I am humbly asking for your help.

The smallest penny that you could give will go a long mile.

Please help us give my husband the best chance for a better and longer life. Thank you and God bless.
