27 Oct 2020: It’s a GO!

Hi Everyone! All our laboratory request (CBC and SWAB/PCR Test) result were cleared! We got approval and recommendation to schedule #operationsven (cleft palate surgery) this coming friday, 30th October 2020.

My mom already process all the documents and coordination with our surgeon including hospital room reservation. We need to be at the hospital by Thursday, 29 October 2020. There’s a fasting required that I need to undergo prior to my surgery the next day 7am 30Oct.

We are so blessed to collate enough funds to support my medical needs including surgery with the help of gogetfund as our campaign channel and other ways on extending support through gcash and bank transfer.

Oct20: 10 Days to go!

Hello Everyone! We have scheduled #Operationsven on Oct30. Due to pandemic, we need to be extra careful, we were given orders to do SWAB Test for me and my parents prior to the surgery date aside from the required physical clearance.

We Thank Valenzuela CESU, Valenzuela City Government and Our beloved and supportive Mayor Rex Gatchalian for sponsoring my SWAB test tomorrow Oct22. CESU team will visit me do the test here at home, to keep me safe. I will also have my CBC same day so we can get the result the next day as we need to submit it to my Pediatrician for Clearance and approval to proceed with the surgery.

UPDATE:

8/05 - I’m turning 8 Months in a few days and it’s fun to make people laugh, smile and scream every time I lift myself at my walker, put myself underneath or be upside down for being curious about many things! Isn’t exciting?!

We are again on MECQ, not allowed to go out. It also means that no surgery and no procedure allowed until it’s safe to go outside. So we need to wait before we can proceed with my #cleftpalatesurgery

Safety is our priority. Tough times, but we all want to be alive and healthy for our loved ones. Let’s all #stayathome and #besafe so we can do our share to #flattenthecurve. Please continue to to support my mom’s campaign. Sending Virtual Kisses and Hugs

7/13 - Pedia Day: Visited doctor for follow up check up and request for medical lab test (required procedure prior to my #cleftpalatesurgery) as advised by my pedia, we need to wait for two more weeks to ensure our safety as covid-19 case increased its positivity rate of 7.8% as of July 11 (https://www.doh.gov.ph/covid19tracker)

We will also need to change medical facility from CGH (Designated Covid19 facility and reached its maximum capacity) to Capitol Medical Center (Non Covid19 facility). Safety is our priority too, Hopefully by end of this month we can proceed, worst case by early August, we will follow medical experts to wait until cases lower down. We will keep all of you updated.

Sven was born Dec10 2019 with cleft lip and palate. A strong lil baby had his first operation when he was 8weeks old to repair and close his cleft lip. It was hard to see him suffer but all was worth and successful. He is more happy and playful bringing smile to everyone he meets. His surgeon advised to have his 2nd operation when his 6mos old and before he starts talking, this will also save us from eliminating speech therapy classes. Sven turned 6 months old few weeks ago and he already had his first word “MAMA”. It was an amazing moment as he does alot of baby talk lately.

During this trying times, we aim to survive. Inspite of financial challenge, losing our jobs and business causing us to struggle we fought so hard to keep our faith.

Due to covid-19 pandemic, we have to wait for clearance from hospital to ensure safety, this will also give us an ample time to raise fund for his upcoming operation. We would need all the help we can get to raise fund for him. to be able to speak well not just through his smile but hopefully he can personally say Thank You
