What problems does the Openmedia GO Project solve?

Want to have all of your media with you all of the time?
dont like having to copy that new song or film you just downloaded from your computer to your phone?

Want to be able to keep watching a film on your tablet after you left the house?

Worried about losing your films and music?

How the problem is solved using OpenMedia GO

With OpenMedia GO you don’t need to take your media with you, because it all has a new home, the cloud.

Using cloud based technology’s you can take a photo on your phone and open it on your tablet to get a better look at it, you can then open it up on your computer to edit.

With films you can download a film onto your computer, start watching it, then when you’re on the train you can be watching the film from the place you left off.

You can download music onto your phone and play it on your tv when you return home.

 

How does it work?

OpenMedia GO stores all of your media in the cloud, all of your devices(laptops/desktops/smart phones/tablets etc…) can then access all of it at the same time.

You can also have a folder that is stored on all of your devices, that way anything in that folder you can look at, watch and listen to even if you have no internet connection.

 

Who are we?

we are a group of students who live in derby(UK), we passionately believe that we can use IT in a way to make entertainment and everything else in life a lot smarter and easier.

Gregory(project lead)-I am student currently studying level 2 ict at Derby College, my interests are all things IT, in particular network security and cloud based systems.

 

 

Why we need your help

We need help to finish developing the software, to do this we need to rent a server to test on.

once we have all of the software sorted we can then move onto stage 2, getting it out to market, as well as selling Smart TV boxes with our software built in.
