Open source education for homeschoolers in the Philippines

I received an acceptance letter from the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education for my paper on open and distance education for K to 12. They will be holding their World Conference on Educational Media and Technology from June 20-23 in Washington, DC.

The main reason why I applied for a spot in this conference is to seek funding for my study and research in setting up a learning hub for homeschoolers. There are not much individuals nor big institutions locally that are keen on the future of distance education much less homeschooling. Even the DepEd is still at the precipice of these advancements. It is organizations abroad that already have their eyes set on the future of education due to their advancements in computing and technology in the academic community.

Attending and presenting in this conference will allow my paper to be included in their journals worldwide and I would be able to use this as reference as I seek funding from various institutions abroad. I was told that I could meet institutional representatives in the conference who may be interested to support my study and research. I am raising funds to be able to join the conference.
