Open Lung Surgery for our Father

My father was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in 2014. Since then he's been in and out of hospitals. And this year is the worst. He has been hospitalized for almost two weeks now as his right lung already collapsed due to build up of air inside, he was diagnosed with Pneumothorax 2nd to COPD this time. He had undergone thoracostomy procedure wherein a tube was inserted thru his lung. But unfortunately, there are no changes even after the procedure.

His doctors said that the only way is for him to undergo a surgery, which would cost huge amount of money. We are afraid that our family would not be able to provide and cover all the hospital expenses, knowing that our hospital bills are increasing each day. We have already maxed out his insurance benefits, too, as this is the second time he was hospitalized just for this year.

Please help us extend our Papa’s life. He is scheduled for the open lung surgery on April 11, 2019. He did not want to get this surgery done just because the costs burden his family. But we, his children are not going to just watch him suffer. We need him in our lives and he wants to be in his grandchildren's life as well.
