Hi,
My sister, Ma. Teresa A. Hipana was diagnosed with Ebstein Anomaly. A rare heart defect since birth. She gave birth last May 22, 2019 to her 2nd child via Caesarean Operation. After 2 days, she began to have difficulty in breathing and her oxygen saturation dropped beyond normal. She was rushed to ICU and advised to be intubated. She stayed there for 15 days and was discharged after 4 days of staying in a regular room. Her Cardiologist from Quezon advised us to bring her to Philippine Heart Center to have her heart further checked. She was still weak when she was discharged from Tayabas Community Hospital. Thea was transferred to Philippine Heart Center via ambulance dated July 04, 2019.
Based from the 2D Echo Procedure that was performed in Philippine Heart Center, she was diagnosed with Ebstein Anomaly. Her right heart was enlarged and has a blood clot. Her doctors in Philippine Heart Center advised her to undergo an open heart surgery to remove the blood clot and fix her heart’s defect.
The operation might cost around Php800,000.00 to Php1,000,000.00 and will last for 6 to 8 hours. She will proceed with the surgery as soon as her oxygen saturation level becomes stable. Our family is looking on ways on how to raise funds for her surgery and recovery plan. We are looking for possible ways like asking charity help since we have exhausted all our savings during her 1st hospitalization
Right now, we are nowhere near the amount needed to cover the procedure.
Thea is a Mommy trooper that looks forward to a healthy long life with her loving husband and 2 kids. Please be our prayer warriors to help her win this battle.
