Onwards and Upwards!

Dynamic Kids to Learn to climb! The latest project by the Molly Fund will finance a climbing course for 6 kids from the Wrexham area with a variety of special needs. If we reach our £1,500 target, we can send each of them on a course of 5 climbing lessons: Let's make a huge difference to 6 special kids by allowing them to focus on their abilities rather than their disabilities.

The children are all part of Dynamic; the Wrexham based charity and unique resource that provides out of school activities for children and young people with special needs. The children have a range of disabilities from physical, intellectual and sensory impairments or life limiting illnesses. Dynamic will organise for children from a variety of schools in the Wrexham area to attend the specifically designed course at The Boardroom Climbing Centre in Deeside. In order to help raise the funds, 8 school friends will reunite over 20 years after they left Darland High School to run a half marathon in Wrexham on Sunday February 17th. Running this kind of distance is new to most of the participants and they have put huge efforts into training for these 21km which they hope to complete in 2.5 hours - a tough challenge to say the least. The Molly Fund was founded in 2017 in memory of the daughter of one of the runners. The aim of the foundation is to finance special projects for special children and this is indeed a very suitable cause!
