Only TNR are a Cyprus Government Registered charity working in the field of Welfare of our feral cat communities in Pegeia and Coral Bay in the Paphos District.

We have recently been hit with Feline Infectious Peritonitis illness in a small number of cats and need to raise funds over and above our usual Trap Neuter Release activities.

As many will already know there have been outbreaks of FIP in the feral cat communities in Paphos district. Peyia and Coral Bay had been lucky up until last week but sadly we have to report that two of our ferals have been found to have FIP...We now need to raise funding for their treatment so its all hands on deck to do so

What is FIP? Feline Infectious Peritonitis, a.k.a. FIP is a viral infection that affects an estimated 1-2% of global feline population annually. FIP is extremely fatal with an estimated mortality rate of ~96% if untreated.

Thanks to Dr. Niels Pedersen and his team of researchers, the discovery of the use of a medication known as GS-441524 has revolutionised FIP treatment. What was once a fatal disease is now easily treatable.

However it is expensive for the course of treatment and may involve boarding of the infected cat as the medication must be administered daily over approx 3 months at the same time of day to be effective

We hope and pray that you can help Us keep our furry four legged Felines safe and healthy

It's great to give.this update as both Tyson and Pamela are doing well according to our vet. However we have now identified that Aphrodite (Tyson's girlfriend shown in the above pic. The smaller cat ) has been diagnosed with Feline Corona virus which is very similar to FIP.
