Gaga and Shaking Our Habits
An invitation to go on a journey to deepen our body awareness and open an endless range of possibilities.
30-40 minute sessions of Gaga/people, movement research and group meetings.
Sessions will be live-streamed via ZOOM application until we can meet safely in big groups in the physical space again.
How to pay for classes
As an independent dancer, choreographer and Gaga teacher I lost the ability to regularly work in the physical space during the COVID-19 period. At the same time, I am grateful to discover the online teaching possibility that allows me to work until I can meet you all in the physical space... Hopefully soon!!!
I offer 3 different payment options to give you the ability to pick what you can afford. I would like you to treat the classes as an investment in yourself and also to honour my work.
Pick up the option the suits your ability and make a donation:
OPTION 1: 20 PLN per class
OPTION 2: 25 PLN per class
OPTION 3: 30 PLN per class
(I receive about 7% less - after fees reduction by GoGetFunding and PayPal)
Why donation instead of a fixed payment?
I believe that this format brings a precious quality into the act of paying - the idea of a gift. The payment becomes more of a conscious choice - an EXCHANGE - a way for you to give something back while receiving my work - my gift - a class.
More about “Shaking Our Habits” and Gaga
This moment is an opportunity to deepen our awareness to the world around us while connecting to the world inside our bodies. Being more in our bodies allows us to be more present in the world.
Breaking our habits, opening our senses and using our imagination can open a new range of qualities and possibilities to move and live with.
In classes we will connect to our playfulness and curiosity to explore various multi-layered tasks combining different qualities, volumes, speeds. We will challenge ourselves to leave the comfort zone, reach moments of effort within our individual body limits.
In addition to the individual physical work I realised that another important element needed now is the sense of togetherness, the group energy, a community.
This led me to propose two kinds of meetings:
1. Gaga/people classes - a framework for users to connect to their bodies and imaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement. Gaga's movement language is developed by Ohad Naharin, house choreographer of Batsheva Dance Company, and constantly evolving. Learn more about Gaga here: www.gagapeople.com
2. “Shaking Our Habits” movement research classes and discussions focus on certain elements: breaking our own habits, using our imagination, deepening the awareness to our body - the space inside us and connecting to the world around us and beyond the familiar zone of sight. Sessions include group meetings following the classes and offer a space to meet and chat around a topic from the physical research, share experiences, sensations, questions, thoughts, inspiration in connection to the practice.
