OneBeat

The idea:

OneBeat was set up to raise money within the indie author world. This community is vastly becoming a popular route for aspiring authors and has a lot of interest from avid readers around the world.

The main aim of OneBeat is to bring together a group of talented authors who have opted to donate a short story each in order to help raise money for the selected charity at the current time. Those who donate to the cause will receive an e-book with the entire collection of short stories as a thank you for helping.

With the help of authors, readers and bloggers, we hope to make OneBeat appreciated and respected as a continual cause to help multiple charities across a broad spectrum.

Current project for OneBeat:

The first charity selected is that of heart foundations. The reason we chose British Heart Foundation and American Heart Association is to raise awareness of Heart Month in February and to get people understanding how important being aware of heart disease and issues actually is to every individual.

NOTE TO DONATORS!

The fundraising is NOT for UK residents only. The site only allows ONE currency. However, there should be no reason that it eliminates other countries from posting a donation. The authors partaking are worldwide so it would be unfair to limit the fundraising. The site runs on PayPal. DON'T FRET! Just because you don't have a PayPal account doesn't mean you can't donate. Simply choose the 'BUY AS A GUEST' option and enter the details - changing the country that fits you - and voila! you're set to go!
