Four years ago, I was a young, naive, ambitious, inexperienced guy. I had a simple dream, to build a new, modern apartment building just across our old apartment building built in 1995. So, I went and looked for a contractor to build our new, modern apartment building. After about a year of planning and convincing my mother to build the new building, work finally started. Today, It's been 1 year and 10 months and we're still about 2 months away from completion of the building. Money has run out. Long story short, the money I was paying our contractor was being used somewhere else. This is just the typical story of a contractor being paid in advance and the work they've done was far from completion. Happens to a lot of people apparently. My mother is super disappointed in me, my brother stopped his flight school because we couldn't afford it anymore, my dad suffered a heart attack and this is just the worst year for me in my life. Now, we're just P4,000,000 short of completing the building and getting it fully furnished. We've been paying the mortgage for the past 2 years already and we haven't made a single peso in income on the new building yet. Money is running out fast! This really isn't a special product or project but this experience is certainly special. After two years of paying interest, charges, fees, penalties on bounced checks and legal fees(civil case), I've really been disappointed in banks and people. People who should have helped me have only made my life more difficult. But just recently, one friend of ours took a risk and helped us out financially. That felt great! It was a sign of hope that maybe I can finally see the day the my project will be 100% completed! Unfortunately, that money ran out so fast and still the building is left unfinished! Starting to think I'm cursed or the building is. So, right now, I'm just trying this crowd funding thing and see if I get lucky or something. The amount is kinda huge, but this really is going to be life changing for me. I hope that some day I too can help a struggling businessman with their problem. Thanks!
