ONE WITH HAP: CONCERT FOR A CAUSE FOR HEMOPHILIA PATIENTS

We, senior students of Bulacan State University, are conducting a study entitled,“A Production and Evaluation of a Fund-raising Campaign for Hemophilia Advocates Philippines” as a partial fulfilment of the requirements in our research subject.

Hemophilia Advocates Philippines (HAP) is an organization who helps people who are suffering from the disease called Hemophilia, a medical condition in which the ability of the blood to clot is severely reduced, causing the sufferer to bleed severely from even a slight injury. The condition is typically caused by a hereditary lack of a coagulation factor, most often factor VIII. It usually affects joints and internal organs. Simple cuts, however, in persons with hemophilia could be fatal. The researchers chose Hemophilia patients as their beneficiary because they don’t get any funding and support from the government and there is no cure to it which means that it needs a lifetime medication. Many of those who had been diagnosed are suffering because they cannot afford the high cost of treatment. A mild bleed in the joints can cost P30,000 to P50,000 per treatment. Severe bleeds like those in internal organs such as the gastrointestinal tract or the brain can cost hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

We are pleased to announce that we will be having our Fund-raising event. The said event will be held on the April 15, 2018. For this event, we would be having a number of participants of 1,000, consisting of Millennials around different parts of Bulacan.

Half of the donations will be used for the event and the other half of it and all the earnings on the said event will be given to HAP.

Since we're from a State University, we can't afford the mentioned amount for the event to be posible. We already tried looking for a sponsor around the area but they declined the proposal.

The donation will not only help us to graduate and have a chance to give their families a better future but also it will help those who suffers from Hemophilia.
