One Winter’s Night – 2020

We had an extraordinary night at The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on Saturday 11th January, with the hugely successful One Winter's Night concert. The final calculations of what we raised are being sorted, and we can reveal that an astonishing £1930 was raised just with the raffle!
We will be donating 100% of this to The Brain Tumour Charity.

One Winter's Night - 2020 was the fifth in this series of the extraordinary annual concerts to be staged at The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre by the GT Live Sessions, and took place on Saturday 11th January 2020. The evening was hosted, as always, by local singer songwriter and promoter Gavin Thomas who also produces the event.

The special guests for #OWN20 included:

Darragh Chaplin, Mica Jane, Damian Wilson, Luca Mo, Hannah Turner, Martin Harley, Soph & Cam, Leoni Jane Kennedy and Backwoods Creek.

As with all of the major events produced by GT Live Sessions there will be a charity linked to #OWN20, and on this occasion we will be supporting The Brain Tumour Charity. It is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, the charity is moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. The GT Live Sessions are very proud to be supporting this amazing work.

All money donated on this page, including via PayPal, will be added to our grand total, and will be donated to The Brain Tumour Charity along with all profits from the event.

The GT LIVE SESSIONS have donated a grand total of £54,000 over the last few years to local and national charities, and the breakdown of this total is as follows:

One Summer's Day 2015 donated £1,700 to Macmillan Cancer Support, and £1,700 to the Detecting Women's Cancer Appeal at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Winter's Night 2016 donated £2,500 to Shooting Star Chase, and £2,500 to the St Luke's Cancer Centre at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Summer's Day 2016 donated £2,000 to Cancer Research UK, and £2,000 to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Winter's Night 2017 donated £3,000 to Challengers, and £3,000 to Onslow Ward (Oncology Unit) at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Summer's Day 2017 donated £4,000 to The Samson Centre for MS, and £4,000 to Hascombe Children's Ward at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Winter's Night 2018 donated £5,200 to Phyllis Tuckwell, and £5,200 to The Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Unit at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Summer's Day 2018 donated £3,100 to MIND, and £3,100 to the High Dependency Unit on Hascombe Children's Ward at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Winter's Night 2019 donated £5,000 to The Samaritans, and £5,000 to The Fountain Centre.

One Spring Afternoon 2019 donated £750 to The Samaritans.
