ONE WINTER’S NIGHT 2018

This extraordinary event took place on Saturday 13th January 20128 to a full house at The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford. We raised over £1,700 just on the raffle tickets, and it looks like we are set to reach our fundraising target of £7,000.00. This on-line donation page has a few more days to run, so PLEASE pop a few quid in the pot, and help us increase our incredible total. Thank you.

All money donated on this page, including via PayPal, will be added to our grand total, and will be divided evenly between our two charities: Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care, and the Teenage & Young Person's Cancer Unit at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

BACKGROUND

The inaugural One Winter’s Night concert, produced by GT Live Sessions, took place in January 2016. We were invited back the following year, and the 2017 production was even more successful. We are thrilled to be staging this, our third extraordinary evening of live music at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. This year the stellar line-up includes: Marcus Coyne, Damian Wilson (with Paul Jude Wilson), Ellie Fountain, Byron Johnston, Joshua Selimi, Harry Baker, Rebecca Jayne, Harry Miller (with BRUCH), The Imaginary Hat (plus special guests).

The evening will be hosted, as always, by local singer songwriter and promoter Gavin Thomas who also produced the event.

For each festival and concert we pick a department or an appeal at Guildford's Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to support, alongside a local or national charity. The total amount raised through our fundraising for that event is then split equally between the two causes.

I'm so pleased that One Winter's Night '18 will be supporting the Teenage and Young Adults Cancer Unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital - part of the magnificent Hascombe Ward that we raised money for with One Summer's Day '17. We will also be raising money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care - the only hospice care service for adult patients, and their families, across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire. I'm hugely proud to be supporting these two wonderful causes with this event.

We are thrilled that this evening is being sponsored by KP Snacks and thanks to their generosity, we will be able to donate 100% of all money raised through ticket sales and donations to our two charities.

AMOUNT RAISED BY GT LIVE SESSIONS EVENTS SO FAR:

One Summer's Day 2015 donated £1,700 to Macmillan Cancer Support, and £1,700 to the Detecting Women's Cancer Appeal at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Winter's Night 2016 donated £2,500 to Shooting Star Chase, and £2,500 to the St Luke's Cancer Centre at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Summer's Day 2016 donated £2,000 to Cancer Research UK, and £2,000 to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Winter's Night 2017 donated £3,000 to Challengers, and £3,000 to Onslow Ward (Oncology Unit) at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

One Summer's Day 2017 donated £4,000 to The Samson Centre for MS, and £4,000 to Hascombe Children's Ward at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.
