One Win means Disabled Veterans a better chance of life

Who I am:

I am currently Mrs. Rio Rancho NM-America and I am running for Mrs. New Mexico 2013.  I am a wife, mother and a USAF Veteran Spouse.  I currently work for the USDA Forest Service and have been with the USDA for 14 years.  I also coach bowling for the high school and model /act in movies on the side.

The Project:  (What)

I have been very busy working with the “Whatwouldugive” organization located in Rio Rancho NM.  The origination helps the Disabled Veterans who return from war past/present and have no home, no job, no food they are living on the streets.  The need job experience, help with PTSD, clothing, food and most of all shelter.   This organization is an all in on stop shopping so to say.  The organization helps cloth them, shelter them, feed them, takes the time to step them through the process of getting their benefits, finds them jobs, automobiles they can afford, schooling if needed additional training and medical attention.  I have been working on fund raiser with the organization and I have also taken photo shoots with photographers around town and I am making a calendar that will be for sale and all proceed will go to the Veterans.

The Need:

I am in need of sponsorship/donations/funding for the Mrs. New Mexico Pageant 2013.  If I can win Mrs. New Mexico I can help spread the word about our Disabled Veterans and their need State wide.  I will then be able to attend the Mrs. America Pageant in 2013 and if I can win there I can spread throughout the whole USA about our Disabled Veterans.  It has come to pass again we are starting to forget the fallen and the Veterans who so need our help and assistance once they return home and their services are no longer welcome.  They fought for our right to be free here in the USA.  They gave their blood for us to have our freedoms.  I have spoken too many of the men and women who have fought for us and their stories touch me.  I too have a story to tell of my husband who was under attack in Afghanistan on Flag Day, got a call stating his service was no longer needed please return to the USA your done in the USAF.  He had 4.5 years left to retirement.  The hardest thing for me to watch was him trying to find a job he has an Engineering Degree and he is a Certified Rocket Scientist and no job for him.  I myself watch a man of strength start to crumble.  If you’re a man reading this you will understand you want to help your family and find that job and support.  It’s a hard thing to have the wife out working and doing it all.  However, make this clear I am proud to do that.

The Veterans have offered to help sponsor me however; I do not want to take from them.  They feel I do so much they want to give to me.  But, it is my honor to be giving to them for they have done so much for me.  Their support is all I need, and they need so much more I am just one trying to feed, cloth and help many.

Any donations received will go towards the following: Evening Dress / Swim Suit / Shoes / Interview Suit / Hotel cost for weekend / Opening Number items (dress) (swim wrap) / hair / makeup—which at this time has been sponsored at no cost its her pleasure to do.

Your sponsorship/donations/funding will go published in our yearly book, and my website.  We also offer ad space as well if you’re interested just let me know.  The ad space is different and does not go towards any fees of mine but it gets you recognized and promotes me for judges.
