One parent story – Worldschooling in Africa

My name is Zsófia Nagy, I am a single mother from Romania. My son, Áron, is 9 years old and has never been to school, because, after a thorough research, I choosed a less common path regarding his education: unschooling.

Although we come from a country where the average income is 400€/month, in recent years we have managed to transform our learning style from unschooling to worldschooling (because, choosing this type of education, we ended up learning together .. .), through traveling - as often as we could - to different parts of Europe. I work very hard to afford this lifestyle, but it's worth it ....

Our goal is to learn the language, customs and history of different nations, immersing ourselves in their daily lives. Usually we stay as long as we can in the same place (even 1-2 months, if we can) and we choose our accommodation in a way that gives us an opportunity to live around the locals and other travelers.

Until now we have traveled only through Europe (at this moment we are somehow "blocked" in Hungary 😀) and, given the situation and the fact that this year is a very special one for us (from several points of view ), because now, in November, both Áron and I are reaching memorable ages (he will be 10 , I will be 50 ), so we decided to try to bring a bold dream to reality: to visit other continents.

We choosed Africa, where we dream about spending 3 months in Tanzania .... But we have no chance to achieve this goal on our own, we need everyone's help ... ❤️

The costs I estimate (for a trip of three months, for two people) is raisig to a total of at least 5000€: 1000€ for airplane tickets (round trip), 1500€ for accommodation for 3 months, 1500€ for food and daily life, and 1000€ for additional expenses or unforeseen things. As you can see, we have lowered the bar to the minimum possible (we are used to traveling on a very small budget), but below this amount we can not start this trip. And from my income (like I mentioned before, it is approx. 400€/month) I have no chance to ever collect this amount.

So, we need your help. And, if you consider that our dream is worth supporting, we will be veey grateful for your donations ❤️. Any amount is welcomed (no amount is to small), maybe little by little we will reach our goal. Let's see what comes out ...

Numele meu este Nagy Zsófia, sunt o mamă singură din Romania. Fiul meu, Áron, are 9 ani și nu a fost niciodată la școală, pentru că, după o documentare temeinică, am ales o cale mai puțin obișnuită privind educația lui: unschooling.

Cu toate că provenim dintr-o țară unde venitul mediu este de 400€/lună, în ultumii ani am reușit să transformăm stilul nostru de învățare din unschooling în worldschooling (pentru că, alegând acest tip de educație, am ajuns să învățăm împreună... ), călătorind, cât de des reușeam, în diferite părți ale Europei. Lucrez foarte mult pentru a ne putea permite acest stil de viață, dar merită....

Scopul nostru este să învățăm limba, obiceiurile și istoria diferitor popoare, imersându-ne în viața lor de zi cu zi. De obicei stăm cât de mult putem în același loc (1-2 luni chiar) și ne e alegem cazarea în așa fel, încât să locuim împreună cu localanicii și cu alți călători.

Până acum am călătorit doar prin Europa (iar momentan suntem oarecum "blocați" în Ungaria 😀), și, având în vedere situația dată și faptul că acest an este unul foarte special (din mai multe puncte de vedere ), fiindcă acum, în noiembrie, atât Áron, cât și eu împlinim vârste memorabile (el 10 , eu 50 ), am hotărât să încercăm să aducem la realitate un vis îndrăzneț: acela de a vizita și alte continente.

Alegerea noastră este Africa, unde visăm să petrecem 3 luni în Tanzania... Dar nu avem nici o șansă să ne atingem acest scop fără ajutorul vostru, al tuturor... ❤️

Costurile pe care le estimez (pentru o călătorie de trei luni) se ridică la un total de minim 4000€: 1000€ drumul dus-întors, 1500€ cazare pentru 3 luni, 1500€ intreținere și 1000€ penrtu cheltuieli adiționale sau neprevăzute (de ex. asigurare de sănătate). După cum puteți vedea, am coborât ștaxheta la minimum posibil, dar sub această sumă nu putem porni la drum. Iar din venitul meu (după.cum am mai menționat: aprox. 400€/lună) nu am nici o șansă să să adun vreodată suma asta.

În concluzie, avem nevoie de ajutorul vostru. Dacă condiderați că planul nostru merită sprijinit, noi așteptăm cu sufletul la gură donațiile voastre ❤️. Orice sumă, cât de mică, e binevenită, puțin cu puțin se adună, haideți să vedem ce iese...
