“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”, these are the words spoken in the bible verse. The town of Navotas a proclaimed City and considered at par for its economic and political stature however advantageous to others but not for all. In the case of the people living near the shores of Navotas, hundreds of families are living below poverty line that could neither afford to buy decent three full meals a day, provide their children complete schools supplies nor send their children to schools.
Sto. Nino de Praga Chapel, a small chapel situated in Limot, Daanghari, Navotas was in this community since 1986. The people behind the Chapel’s journey embodies the “putting Words into Action” - heeding the call thirty-three years ago to date. It is our firm belief that we have to do something, in our small little way, to help these poor people survive the tough times of life both spiritual and material needs – from daily rosary, church visitations, street mass, catechetical education for children on the value of prayers and its significance to ones life to gift-giving to families during Christmas, providing school supplies, and feeding program during May Flower as devotion to Virgin Mary.
We are expanding our reach to 200 FAMILIES FOR THIS COMING 2019 CHRISTMAS GIFT-GIVING . We intend to give them basketful of grocery items and fresh fruits that can enjoin in time for noche buena .
The SCHOOL SUPPLIES COMPRISES OF SCHOOL BAGS, NOTEBOOKS, PAD PAPERS, PENCILS, CRAYONS, RULERS, AND COLORED PAPERS THAT WILL BE GIVEN TO 100 UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN next year, 2020.
The FEEDING PROGRAM WILL START ON THE WHOLE MONTH OF MAY 2020 FOR THE 150 UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN as part of May Flower offering as devotion to Virgin Mary.
We are enjoining you on this opportunity to support our endeavours and help the least of our brethren in need. Sto. Nino de Praga Chapel and its members appreciates all the help and support you can give to these projects.
Thank you very much and may God bless you and your family!!
