One Love Jamaica

When my boyfriend and I decided to spend our two weeks holiday in February in Jamaica we didn’t know how much of an impact it would have on us.

Jamaica is a beautiful country full of easy-going people. When we arrived we were amazed by the positivity the Jamaicans spread not only towards us but amongst each other as well. I liked Reggae music before our holiday but now I love it even more and usually have an internet radio running playing Reggae all day long. I took the positivity back home and feel a lot more laid-back.

I suffer from chronic headaches since the age of five and migraine attacks at least twice a month. But I’ve never felt physically and emotionally as good as in Jamaica. I didn’t have a single headache. Not once. Two weeks of not suffering from any kind of headache made me feel on top of the world. I’ve never seen my boyfriend as relaxed, carefree and with so much joy. Therefore, I knew we had to come back.

We met so many awesome people who immediately became friends. We still stay in touch via facebook. I want to meet them again and see more of that beautiful country with its mesmerizing flora and fauna. My boyfriend and I were able to visit the Dunn’s River falls, Nine Miles (where Bob Marley was born and buried) and Dolphin Cove. We wanted to visit Mystic Mountain, Kingston, see the seven mile beach in Negril and spend a lovely evening at Rick’s Café. But as the tours are quite expensive we couldn’t afford to do that.
