The Story of the Education Center

The One Family Love Educational Center & Charity Foundation has had a long journey offering free education to some of the most impoverished children in the town of Sukuta, The Gambia. Since 2004, they have provided select families that can't afford to pay for schooling with free education, food & medical supplies.

The education center only consists of 1 small single room, less than 4 meters long & is often full with 30 or more children in a class! Because of the limited space, they are unable to accept all the kids that want to enroll, so the long term vision is to build a much bigger building with 4 separate classrooms that can accommodate many more students.

The school has only been able to accept the poorest kids that are the most in need, & they've had to turn away many students who have wanted to enroll. It would be a dream come true to able to provide this bigger space for the children to learn in, so the goal of this fundraiser is to raise enough money to buy the necessary materials & begin the construction of the new school building.

The foundation was founded by Abraham Bojang, a man with a heart of gold who is doing his part to care for the younger generations in need & give back to his local community in Sukuta.

The center's original name, Little Zion Education Centre, was eventually changed to the Drew Pasler Education Centre & it has now recently undergone its final transformation to become an officially registered charity organization with the brand new name, the One Family Love Charitable Foundation! They freshly painted the new name on the building last week.

One Family Love's three full-time teachers & the currently enrolled 32 students are looking positively towards the future with big plans. Abraham's family already owns a plot of land where he plans to build the new school, now they just need the funding. With your help, this dream can become a reality.

How your donations will help

The goal of this fundraiser is to raise money to help pay for the materials & labor required to build the new school, as well as provide funding for the ongoing financial needs of the education center.

Long Term Goals:

• Buying materials like bricks & cement as well as paying for the labor required to build the new building

Short Term Goals:

• Paying the monthly salaries of the 3 school teachers working at the education center
• Feeding the children rice & other foods while they're in school
• Providing books, pencils, paper & other school materials for the students
• Buying medical supplies when they're needed

Three large bags of rice can feed the children lunch while they're at school for an entire month! This costs around 5,000 Gambian Dalasi (about $97 USD). Cost of living is very low in Gambia so whether you are able to give a little or a lot, your contribution makes a difference & your donations can really go a long way.

Your support really means the world to the foundation & to all of the children who benefit from having this free education & a place to go to learn & be together with their community. Together, we can change the lives of less fortunate children who come from a poverty stricken country, & help provide a better future to them.

Hey! I'm Milo 😃
I have been getting to know Abraham for this past year & have been in continual contact with him as he has kept me updated with what has been happening at the education center. It has really touched my heart to see all of the hard work, commitment & care that Abraham has shown to the children most in need in his local community, so I decided to help them out by creating this fundraiser to generate more abundance for One Family Love!

As the organizer of this campaign, I will be receiving the money myself through my PayPal account & then sending 100% of the funds directly to Abraham in Gambia, where he will deposit it directly into the official bank account of the One Family Love Charitable Foundation.

I will post frequent updates on this page & show receipts so you know that your money makes it into the hands of the foundation. Transparency is important & I will make sure that every penny raised will go to support One Family Love.
