Most stories that start out with the phrase Once Upon A Time tend to be fictional fairytales but not this one. Once upon a time I was a homeless traveler who chose to live off the land. I met my fiance on the streets of NYC after getting back from hitchiking/train hopping down south. He had also chosen to live a life without a roof over his head and was enjoying the crisp morning air that naturally comes when you wake up outside. To make a long story short we fell in love and decided it was time to move into an apartment. We started out renting a tiny room in the Bronx and then I became pregnant. We decided that in order to give our child what is best we had to move. We now live in an apartment in Philadelphia with our 8 month old baby boy and are hoping to move out west once we are more financially stable. Michael (my fiance) purposed to me on November 23rd 2012, just a couple weeks after our son was born. I was estatic and still am but I know we don't have the money to throw a wedding right now. Ideally I would love to get married in NYC, which is my hometown, and I would love it even more if my father got the chance to walk me down the aisle. He has had Parkinson's Disease for over 20 years now and he is in his 70s. As a child it was always a fear of mine that I wouldn't find the right guy in time for my father to see his baby girl get married. NowI've found the guy of my dreams and am asking for help funding our wedding.
