In 6 months our first two South African Climbers will make their way to the Tokyo Olympics. To give them the best possible training and experience to hold their own, they need to head abroad for some international climbing competitions. Help us raise some funds to assist them in their dream training program. Any donation, no matter how small or big will help.
Christopher Cosser and Erin Sterkenburg recently competed in the Africa Continental Championships which they won. This was the Olympic qualifying event for the African Continent. Chris and Erin will join only 40 climbers from around the world at Sport Climbings debut at the Tokyo Olympics.
As Sport Climbing is new to the Olympic format, there is currently little to no support for training from Government funds. SANCF and CityROCK have sponsored the climbers as much they are able during the COVID pandemic but it is not sufficient to get them the training they need over the next few months.
The funds raised will go to travelling to domestic and international competitions, training camps as well as the associated competition fees and licenses.
