Olivia’s College Fund

Hello everybody and thanks for taking the time to read this!

I am currently a junior in college and I'm currently studying abroad. The reason I put up this fundraiser was because of my financial predicament that I am in because of my education. I am currently majoring in International Relations and have worked hard over the past couple of years to pay for school with the help of my mom and stepdad. I was fortunate enough to get a $10,000 academic scholarship because of my grades in high school and about $5000 in student loans each year. However my yearly tuition is $20,000. Which means that I am $5000 short. My mom and stepdad have agreed to help with $2000 for the upcoming semester but cannot give anymore which I totally understand. I have spent all my own savings equalling about $10,000 on my education and therefore have no more.

But because of me studying abroad they have decreased the amount of financial aid that they are willing to give me. And on top of it because I am studying abroad I cannot work to make money for next semester until I come home in December, which doesn't leave me enough time to make enough money which still leaves me $3000 short. My mom and stepdad are very supportive and generous people and my stepdad is one of the hardest working people I know but they have helped financially as much as they can and are stretched to their limits and unfortuantely cannot help anymore. I feel like such a terrible burden and want to support myself. When I come home I will be working full time over the break but I won't have enough time to make $3000.

There are so many causes out their full of people who need help. So I know that I am simply one of many. But I am simply a hard working college student looking to help my parents out and be as self sufficient as much as I possibly can. I ask for your generosity and help. If I am unable to come up with the $3000 I will unfortuantely have to drop out of school until next year.
