Keep our rivers, streams and wetlands in our cities clean from oil pollution
I have been cleaning up oils spills for 26 years for large corporate clients and training their staff to clean their own spills.
However, I have discovered that the smaller spills created by smaller businesses and end users can add up to a greater volume of oil spilled per year than the combined volumes of the larger corporate clients.
Most of these smaller businesses do not have the funding nor the skills to deal with these spillages and so they go largely untreated and unreported.
My aim is to develop a training program to teach smaller businesses to prevent Oil Pollution, and also to clean up any spills that might happen during their business operations. Also to teach NGO's and Environmental Groups about the fundamentals of identifying and cleaning up oil spills and preserving the environment, specially rivers and wetlands.
This training will assist people to not only identify and clean oil spills, but to be able to trace their source and assist in education the people who caused the spills as to the effects of these spills on the environment and how keeping the environment clean leads to maintaining healthy eco systems and also keeps the green areas in our cities healthy and safe for our children.
Please help me to turn this dream into a reality.
