Ogie fights Cancer Fundraiser

Edna Katherine Ezequiel Enriquez, Kats, Caths, or known as Ogie to close friends, has been fighting cancer for the past 20 years.

Starting with papillary cancer in her 20's, she fought with its re-occurrence years later, mutating from thyroid cancer that developed lung cancer and recently metastasized brain cancer. Her combat made her, from an active physically strong working mother to an immobilized and bedridden individual, mute with only one arm to move and one ear to hear. The brain metastasis has grown to penetrate her spine, disabling her limb mobility. She survives still, with a trachea tube and gastro peg, a constant reminder of her ordeal with a mass that once invaded her windpipe and deprived her of speech. Ogie remains strong and determined to still live another day with her two young kids; Nathan and Dana.

Struggling for two decades has left her family with now dwindling resources and in need of financial and medical aid.

Despite her life challenges, she still affords to smile at life, her spirit still remains strong. Ogie incurs an expensive medical upkeep, everything from diapers to her daily gastro feeds apart from series of hospital procedures to continue the life battle.
