This is not an easy thing to do, to have to implore the help of others in the hopes that someone will extend a helping hand.

My husband and I both lost employment in the beginning of the year. I have recently been employed on a contract basis. My husband has not been that successful in obtaining employment although he has been looking tirelessly. It is extremely hard and for my husband, who has the main bread winner who covered all of our medical expenses and insurance as well as our rent.

We are currently trying to survive off my salary which just about covers our rent. I have not been able to cover my financial commitments and we have fallen more than 3 months behind. We are not able to financially cover our daily needs. We are also looking after my husbands mother, who stays with us. She helps out best she can, when she can.

My eldest daughter, mother in law and myself all require chronic medication, which we cannot afford and desperately need. We haven't any medical aid and the day hospitals do not dispense the medication my daughter requires.

We haven't had food in our house for 2 months, we buy what we can on a daily basis because we do not know what tomorrow will bring. There are nights, where I do not eat in order to ensure that my family do. I cannot afford to buy clothes for my children, which they desperately need.

We are now a month behind in our rent, our car requires fixing as we cannot transport our kids to and from school with out it. We have run out of electricity more times than I can count. There are times we cannot buy bread or milk. We've cut all entertainment and luxuries. I have been hand washing our clothes in order to save electricity.

All we need is help with paying the outstanding rent so that we do not lose our home which we have called home for the past 4 yrs. We also need to be able to pay a portion of school fees and buy food.

We are not asking for monies or hand outs for entertainment or luxuries. We just need a little help. I am willing to share financial statements and expenditure forms to whom ever requires and offer complete transparency.

This is the hardest thing I've had to do, but I need to feed my family. I am willing to repay any monies when I am able to. We just need a break. A little help.
