Off-Campus Life is an online real estate website were landlords with properties which they rent out to young professionals and students, or rent out properties that are vacant and close to tertiary institutions in Zimbabwe so that they can monetize their properties.
Considering the rate of unemployment in Zimbabwe and that the COVID 19 pandemic has hit a heavy blow on other companies raises the need to also have an organisation that covers the breadth and depth of the country helping out those seeking employment so that they can find a means and continue to provide for their families after this pandemic
Founded by Vongai, Anthony and Takunda (former university students), they saw a need to develop an internet based solution to improve and ease the process of searching for off-campus accommodation for new and existing students as well as young professionals via the website platform and mobile app.
On the Off-Campus Life website there are no registrations/sign-in requirements on the website for the students except for the mobile app users, where they login with their name and email. The user will specify certain preferences such as the amenities and type of rooms they require. Landlords will list their vacant rooms aided by our agents. Our agents will closely working with landlords, root out and ensure that there are no criminal elements who are not students trying to use the property in an unappropriated way. Our agents will go further to assist the student in finding the best place during their time of the study linking him/her to the landlord and checking in on them regularly.

Off-Campus Life’s marketing efforts will be directed toward executing the company strategies of building brand awareness and driving traffic to our website and mobile app. Our target market are the players in the student housing space which are the landlords and the students themselves.
The combination of strong creative marketing and partnerships with larger corporates and traffic generating sites is expected to result in many site visits. We will use a variety of marketing tools including

We started this business with our own funds but unfortunately it could take us only in the short distance all the basic start up costs for website, marketing material development and hosting we are able to cater for as our team has programming, marketing and accounting backgrounds.
The funds raised are meant to help us to create awareness, reach out to the landlords, improve our platform and its offerings. Once we are profitable we intend to give back to the community and also help start ups grow and lower the unemployment rate in our country.
