Ocean Conservation Trip

Hello Everyone! This campaign is to help me raise money to embark on a volunteering trip abroad. There are two fantastic organizations, Gili Shark Conservation & Oceans 2 Earth, that host specialized trips in marine conservation.

GSC: A 2-week trip on Gili Air Island in Indonesia that consists of advancing a level in my diver certification, shark conservation and scientific diver specialty courses, meals & accommodation & transportation, and 16 total dives focusing on shark research and conservation.

O2E: A 2-week trip in Cairns, Queensland, Australia that consists of advancing a level in my diver certification, underwater Rapid Monitoring surveys, fish identification surveys, and coral health monitoring, meals & accommodation & transportation, along with networking with managers and researchers from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

I desperately want to participate in one of these excursions so I can give my time and effort to ocean conservation in some of the most fascinating, ecologically diverse places on the planet, but they are expensive which is where this fundraiser comes into play. Both trips are around $3000.00, not including flights, and I am working overtime for the next few months to try to save as much as possible, but every little bit helps! I know that there are much more important campaigns on this website, but Earth's underwater creatures need our help and it kills me to not be able to afford to help in the ways that I want to, so please consider helping out if you're able!
