Occupational Health therapy

My organization has a medical clinic that caters for the urban poor. Due to the nature of work of a majority of the women leave their children at day cares that are not properly managed. This situation has led to a number of children getting diseases such as rickects. Some of the children also have delayed growth. Due to ignorance and stigma in our society, mothers tend to hide such children. 

During an outreach session from our clinic to the community do conduct immunuzation services we found out that there are many children in our community who need occupational therapy in order for them to grow normally and live meaningful lives.

We want to start that service in our clinic and looking for funds to set it up.We shall go into the community and conduct sensitization through our community health workers. The services will be the only one of its kind in our community.
