Obstacle Course World Championships 2016

Hello everyone!

My name is Kaspars Kalnberzs, I am 35 year old father of two and I’m from LATVIA. And I am very pleased to announce that I have qualified for OCR (obstacle course racing) World championships 2016 in Toronto, Canada. As far as I am informed, I am the first and the only latvian who have ever been qulified for OCRWC. Those of you who ever competed in such events like “Spartan race”, “Battlefrog” know that this sport is growing very fast, especially in the USA and Canada.

To be honest I have been looking for such a challenging and attractive sport like is OCR for a long time. I started as a rock climber, then I was among a bunch of young guys who created latvian street workout organization in 2009 which became national phenomena over the past years.

Although I’ve already covered my ticket to OCRWC to enter the event, unfortunatelly OCR is not a sport that lies under one of many official sports organizations in my country. Therefore one of my long term goals is to create an official OCR association, to attract the best athletes who can represent my country LATVIA in the world of OCR, to compete with the best athletes from all over the World.

Finally my goal is to raise money for airfare and lodging to attend and compete in the OCRWC.

Extra funds raised will be donated to Latvian paralympic team on their way to Rio Olympics!!
