Pe data de 30 octombrie 2019, familia mea a fost lovită de o tragedie.

Casa în care m-am născut și am crescut, din comuna Hangu, județul Neamț, și pe care părinții mei au ridicat-o cu mari eforturi de-a lungul a mai mult de 20 de ani a dispărut într-un incendiu violent. Focul a pornit de la acoperiș, s-a extins cu repeziciune și a fost foarte greu de ținut sub control, amenințând alte două case din împrejurimi. Tata, care era singur acasă în momentul respectiv, a reușit din fericire să scape din incendiu cu ajutorul unui vecin. Intervenția pentru stingerea focului a fost însă anevoioasă, îngreunată de căile dificile de acces, de alimentarea insuficientă cu apă din comună și de lipsa unor dotări corespunzătoare ale echipajelor trimise la incendiu. Vreme de 8 ore, localnici și membri ai echipelor de intervenție s-au luptat cot la cot pentru a localiza focul și a salva cât se putea din agoniseala părinților mei, dar după o noapte întreagă de încercări am realizat îndurerați că din casa noastră și amintirile frumoase din ea n-a mai rămas decât scrum.

În urma incendiului care n-a putut fi oprit, părinții mei au pierdut toată munca lor de o viață și au rămas nu doar fără un acoperiș deasupra capului, dar și fără strictul necesar pentru a se repune pe picioare, începând cu lucrurile de bază precum hainele și actele. Acum, cât timp căutăm o rezolvare pentru situația lor și încercăm să înfruntăm viitorul dificil care ne așteaptă, ei locuiesc la mine, însă aș vrea foarte mult să le pot reda măcar o parte din traiul demn pe care l-au avut înainte de acest cumplit eveniment. Vă rog să mă credeți, nimic nu a putut fi salvat, părinții mei au rămas doar cu ce aveau pe ei în momentul izbucnirii.

De aceea fac apel la bunăvoința și la grija dumneavoastră față de cei aflați în nevoie. Avem mare nevoie de ajutor, oricât de mic ar fi acesta. Cu suma care se va strânge aici, vom reconstrui cât se poate de repede o cameră, o bucătărie și o cameră de baie pe locul casei dispărute în incendiu, pentru ca părinții mei să o poată lua de la capăt. Orice donație este binevenită pentru a-i putea sprijini în această încercare.

On October 30, 2019, my family was struck by tragedy.

The house where I was born and raised, located in Hangu commune, Neamț County, and which my parents took great pains to build over the course of more than 20 years, disappeared in a violent blaze. The fire started from the roof, spread rapidly and was very difficult to keep under control, threatening two other houses in the area. My dad, who was home alone at the time, thankfully managed to escape the fire with the help of a neighbor. The intervention to extinguish the fire was, however, cumbersome, hindered by difficult access routes, insufficient water supply in the commune and the lack of adequate equipment of the crews sent to the rescue. For 8 hours, locals and members of the intervention teams fought side by side to locate the fire and save as much as possible of my parents’ belongings, but after a whole night of attempts we realized that from our house and the beautiful memories we had in it there was nothing more left than ash.

As a result of the fire that could not be stopped, my parents lost all their life's work and were left not only without a roof over their heads, but also without the requirements needed in order to get back on their feet, starting with basic things like clothes and documents. Now, while we are looking for a solution to their situation and trying to face the difficult future that awaits us, they are living with me, but I really wish I could restore them at least a piece of the dignified life they had before this terrible event. Please believe me, there was nothing we could save, my parents were only left with what they had on them when the fire broke out.

That is why I am appealing to your goodwill and your concern for those in need. We really need your help, however small it may be. With the sum which will be raised here, we will rebuild as soon as possible a room, a kitchen and a bathroom on the site of the house that disappeared in the fire, so that my parents can start again from the beginning. Any donation is welcome to support them in this endeavor.
