O casă pentru cinci copii / Let’s build a house for a family of 7

In satul Terca, comuna Lopatari, judetul Buzau, locuieste familia Draganescu, compusa din sapte membri, dintre care cinci copii minori. Isi duc traiul intr-o incapare improprie, folosita in trecut ca magazie – o anexa a gospodariei. Pana in primavara anului 2016 (mai exact a treia zi de Paste), locuiau in casa lor: mica si modesta. In acea zi, in jurul orei 6.00 dimineata, tatal s-a trezit intr-un nor de fum gros in casa. A reusit doar sa-si mai salveze copiii si sotia, care dormeau toti. Din bunurile din casa nu au mai putut salva nimic. Casa a ars cu toata agoniseala lor. Sotul, tatal copiilor – lucreaza la un atelier de prelucrare a lemnului, la 50 km de casa. Pleaca luni dimineata si se intoarce vineri seara, iar sambata mai merge la lucru “cu ziua” pe la vecini. Vara le este mai usor pentru ca si sotia lui mai merge la lucru tot “cu ziua”, dar iarna este cumplit. Sunt intr-un catun uitat de lume, departe de civilizatia urbana, iar pana la ei drumul pare ca nu duce nicaieri, este un drum greu practicabil, mai ales in conditii de ploaie sau zapada. Cu toate acestea, cele doua fetite mai mari (13 si 16 ani), merg la scoala si au rezultate bune. Cei trei fratiori mai mici sunt inca la gradinita, dar in curand vor incepe si ei scoala.

Au nevoie de o casuta decenta, cu trei dormitoare, in care copiii sa-si poata face temele, sa-si continue scoala, sa poata duce o viata putin mai buna.

De ce vrem sa-i ajutam:
Pentru ca, desi sunt plini de nevoi, isi cresc copiii cum pot, nu i-au abandonat.
Pentru ca, de cate ori i-au vizitat cei de la Asociatia Altruist, mama fie facea mancare, fie spala rufele in curte sau era la lucru la o vecina, iar pe sotul dumneaei l-am gasit acasa doar de Craciun. In rest era plecat la lucru.
Sunt oameni buni, oameni simpli, carora nimeni nu le-a intins o mana de ajutor si care isi cresc copiii cu bun simt, cu educatie sanatoasa, cu respect pentru cei din jur.

Locul pe care a fost casa lor, masoara 12 metri lungime si 7 metri latime. Au curent electric. Pentru a-i ajuta cu constructia unei casute, avem nevoie de materiale: ciment, fier beton, BCA, agregate (nisip etc), rigips, placi OSB, acoperis (tabla), instalatie electrica (cabluri, prize, intrerupatoare, corpuri de iluminat), parchet, vopsea lavabila. Incalzirea este posibila doar cu sobe cu lemne.

Am contactat o echipa de constructori, care ne-au estimat un cost de 8-10.000 euro (inclusiv manopera). Termenul de executie primit, a fost de maxim 2 luni. Cu siguranta, cel mai frumos Craciun din viata lor ar putea fi cel de anul acesta, daca am reusi impreuna sa strangem banii necesari pentru aceasta constructie.

Draganescu family (the parents and their 5 chidren) live in a village called Terca, in Buzau County, Romania.

They live in an improper room, used in the past as a storehouse - an annex of the household. Up until spring of 2016 (exactly the third day of Easter), they lived in their home: small and modest. That day, at around 6.00 am, the father woke up in a thick cloud of smoke. He only managed to save his children and wife, who were all sleeping while their house burned with all their goods.

The father of 5 works at a wood processing workshop, 50 km from the house. He leaves on Monday morning and returns on Friday night, and on Saturday he goes to work for his neighbors to earn more money to help his family. Summer is easier for them because his wife goes to work all day long, but winter is terrible. They live in a forgotten world, away from urban civilization, and the road to their “house” seems to go nowhere, especially in rain or snow conditions. However, the two older girls (13 and 16) go to school and have good results. The three younger brothers are still in kindergarten, but soon they will start school.

They need a decent three-bedroom house where children can do their homework, continue their school, and live a little better.

Why we want to help them:

Because, even though they are poor, they raise their children as well as they can, they have not abandoned them.

Because whenever they were visited by Altruist, the mother was either cooking or looking after her kids or even working for a neighbor for some extra money, and only has her husband at home for Christmas.

They are good people, simple people, who do their best to get by and even though no one is helping they are raising their children with common sense, healthy education, respect for others.

The place where their home was, measured 12 meters long and 7 meters wide. They have electricity. To help them build a house we need materials such as cement, concrete, BCA, aggregates (sand etc), rigips, OSB boards, roofing, electrical installation (cables, sockets, switches, parquet, washable paint. Heating is only possible with wood-burning stoves.

We contacted a team of builders who estimated a cost of 8-10,000 euros (including workmanship). The execution deadline received was up to 2 months. Certainly, if we managed to raise the money to build this house, this would be the most beautiful Christmas in their life could be this year.
