Campaign Story
In February 2013, I embarked on a trip to Uganda for three weeks. Landing in Kampala, we travelled to Kanungu where we served with the head of development working with schools, and families.
In particular we spent time with a secondary school in an area called Nyarugunda. This school began with the goal of providing education to local children who had previously had to walk 20 miles to get to the next school. In our time we got to see the incredible impact that this project has had and wiitnessed first hand the extreme poverty and yet the extreme hope that has come to the area now that children have a chance to get an education. In Uganda an education is not simply a part of life but a gateway to lifes and communities being tranformed. These children are the hope and lifeline of the towns we visited as they will be the ones who can get jobs to pay and care for their large families. The video above gives a glimpse into this world and joys and obstacles it brings.
My aim is simply to raise money to get as many of these children through school as possible. Any amount is gratefully received and will make a huge difference. Thank you for your support.
