Nursing in Thailand – June 2014

Ten (10) nursing students from Murdoch University have been selected to travel to Thailand in June/July 2014 for a 3 week practicum in the community of Om Goi (Omkoi). 

As a group, we are hoping to raise money to go towards purchasing medical supplies and supporting community development initiatives  in collaboration with the local health care services for the Thailand communities we will be visiting. 

We would really appreciate any support that you could provide no matter how small, it will go some way to achieve our goal to improve the lives of these people.

Supported by Antipodeans Abroad, we will be travelling to remote villages in Thailand where there are minority tribes. Students experience cultural interaction on community projects that are sustainable, on-going and make a difference. Distance, Terrain & Flooding makes it difficult for villagers to access basic healthcare services. By donating we can help provide essential basic healthcare, health education, and community development initiatives  in collaboration with the local health care services.

Expeditions ignore the tourist areas of the southern beaches and instead venture into the northern hill tribe regions. 

So please, we ask for your assistance to help us to help these communities and to provide them with some basic healthcare.
