Kidney Transplant Fund Raiser for Nurse Seth

I used to be an Operating Room nurse and private duty nurse part timer for Post Kidney Transplant patients. About a decade later, I was diagnosed with CKD Stage 5 requiring hemodialysis asap as my creatinine was discovered to be way beyond normal.

I currently work as a Post Service Clinical Claims Reviewer at night during weekdays to support my medical needs and gets my dialysis treatments in the mornings 3x weekly. It is not easy to work graveyard, it depletes energy even of healthy people, all the more with my medical condition.

Since I was diagnosed 2 years ago, I was already advised to undergo kidney transplant surgery because it will give a better quality and longevity of life for me, but I was hesitant, because I would rather not be a burden to my family, since we also have a son with special needs.

Recently, I have decided that I would really want to have more time with my family, witness their important milestones, and hopefully bring my kids down the aisle when the time comes. I realized it will be more realistic for me to reach that age if I will let myself undergo the recommended surgery.

I humbly ask for your help so that I will be able to undergo Kidney Transplantation the soonest possible. My selfless brother willingly volunteered to be my donor and all we need is the funding to get going with the work ups and the procedure itself.

The overall cost of the surgery and all the related tests will reach over 1.5 million pesos, and with government subsidy we will need 800,000 pesos.

Please help me get my life back. I would very much want to spend many days and far future with my wife and kids, and also go back to nursing practice in operating theatre or perhaps in hemodialysis center where I can be a living testimony and inspiration to my other CKD warrior brothers and sisters that life does not end in that chair, beside the HD machine.

Update as of January 2022

I am on leave of absence from work in preparation for me and my sibling donor's workup, however, I got struck by COVID and is currently admitted due to gallbladder inflammation.

Please continue to pray for me.

Update as of February 2022

Finally negative of COVID and had my gallbladder surgery. It was supposedly laparoscopic but decided to be open cholecystectomy due to adhesions. BP also dropped so I was on pressors and had blood transfusion.
