My name is Jonathan Cornell. I am a registered nurse currently working in a busy emergency department. I also organise non-profit music festivals to raise money for my local childrens hospital. Many incidents occur at these large events resulting in injury of the attending public and volunteers. I want to raise enough money to fund the purchase of medical suplies to enable myself and other trained clinicians to attend events with large crowds voluntarily to see and treat injured or ill members of the public in the field. Unlike St Johns ambulance service we are trained, insured and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) to deliver more complex intervention, see and treat in the field, reduce ambulance call outs for minor injuries and reduce hospital admissions. In order to supply this free voluntary service to the public we require funds to purchase medical supplies, uniforms and expensive life saving equiptment such as a defibrillator. Our project aims to make charitable public events safer and potentially save lives. My hope is that we will soon be able to offer our free of charge service to charitable events across the country.   Free tickets can be given to those who donate to attend music festivals we volunteer at!
