Ntombizivele Matshoba Memorial Fund

This fund is set up in memory of Ntombizivele (Ntombi) Matshoba who was a loving partner to actor and theatre practitioner T-Bone Hlahane (KCOB '92), Mom to Siya, Shaka & Amandla, daughter of Goodness Mbuthuma, one of a dozen siblings and friend.

Ntombi believed strongly in education. And so from humble beginnings she passed her matric under trying circumstances and even completed a degree while working strange hours at a casino. She even wrote exams just after giving birth, twice. She eventually qualified with a teaching degree last year (2020) and has been hoping to get a teaching job. She was even SACE registered. So she really was ready to go out there and teach. She loved working with kids.

The funds raised are to assist with funeral arrangements and the Hlahane/Matshoba family initially. Remainder of funds and ongoing campaign to help her son Siya who is currently in grade 7 and would love to complete school at Kearsney College.

Unemployment has hit the entertainment industry really hard. If this campaign is successful, Siya will hopefully be the first of many beneficiaries whose parents are struggling arts practitioners.
