We're into our first week of the Cull and across the zone we've encountered just what we were expecting, large amounts of pre-bait, traps and shooters driving around looking for unprotected sets. Luckily, just like every other year they've found us protecting them and we have just as many committed saboteurs as we've ever had making sure sets are protected.
So far we've had shooters chased off, pre-bait removed and badgers released from traps running off safely into the night.
Its been great going back to see our setts as active as they ever have been and it just goes to show that the cull has been an absolute failure in reducing badger numbers.
We need money to continue to patrol and protect our zone so we're starting up a small weekly fuel fund to help us cover the costs of going down.
We're hoping for around £60 a week, you've already donated generously so far and we hope you will continue to do so now, every little helps so any and all donations are welcome!
