Not exactly a noble cause..

Well.. gofundme doesnt work in my country so this is the best alternative..

Anyway the reason behind why titled this "not exactly for a noble cause" is because as I saw the other campaigns on this site I start to realize how seemingly meaningless my issue is. My heart starts breaking for those who are struggling with beyond monetary terms; the war they have to fight even after resources that were adequately provided. I salute and wish them the best of luck and if you will, show them some love.

Now back to my measly issue. I am trying to raise funds for the many reasons as I pursue my BA Degree course in theatre lighting design in Hong Kong. I do not wish to burden my family with my financial issue as they are barely surviving on their own. I have been supporting myself for the past years and even through my polytechnic life my parents didn't had to pay for my tuition.I can't afford to give them the life I want them to have now but I'm doing my best to not make their life any worse.

They want me to realize my dream but locally they don't teach in the major which is my passion. I tried applying for scholarship, results are not released yet but even so it can only help me that much. After budgeting out my tuition and accommodation, the scholarship Value doesn't have much left. Which is why I end up here.

I am hoping to raise funds to get a laptop because out of sympathy for a friend in need (starting sch) and financially struggling, I gave my laptop away after I graduated from poly. I took a gap year to hone my skills as a freelance, switching companies to build my port folio.

Secondly, I will miss my family and friends alot. I do not wish my family to "send me money" or worry about me when I'm there. The rest of the funds are spilt between flights back home through the course of 3 years and also I heard from ex students from the school that it's incredible tight schedule there with projects back to back that I can forget about working and studying at the same time. So if I can't work there, I'm not really sure how am I supposed to survive..

So yes, I am deeply appreciative any help I can get, earnestly with all of my heart, thank you.
