Our Cattle in Northern Queensland have experienced an unprecedented natural disaster.

Cattle in the thousands have been lost with some families losing their entire herd. The final number is still unknown but it could well be more than 500,000 horses, cattle, sheep as well as native animals – everything is dying.

But that’s not all that has gone. These families have lost their homes, their vehicles, their pets, their stock, their income.

These same families have been battling to keep their stock alive during the drought over the last seven years and now have been inundated with flood water.

Horses and cows have drowned, they have been washed away. The rest are shivering in the cold winds and dying of pneumonia and hypothermia. The North Queensland is flat country – 20 000 000 hectares is covered in water.

They need immediate vital assistance and they need to know we are here.

They need our help and they need it now.

We are a group of women who want to encourage connection, community and empowerment as a means of developing resilience against any adversity potentially experienced.

We, like many, have family and friends affected in North Queensland and have setup this GoFundMe page to raise funds for them.
