Campaign Story
On the 17 October a delegation from North London will be driving to the migrant camps in Calais to deliver vital supplies to the people there who are living in desperate conditions. We've been asked to take money which will be spent on supplies such as winter coats, boots, tents etc. If you can donate please do so via the link below or if you have warm waterproof mens clothes/shoes & tents please take them to one of the collection points; Big Green Bookshop (Brampton Park Rd, N22 6BG) Wellington Pub (Turnpike Lane, N8 0EP)
If would like to join the solidarity convoy on the 17th October please contact Gary on 07472703288.
We are travelling with a Stand Up to Racism solidarity delegation, to learn more see the SUtR website here: http://www.standuptoracism.org.uk
Stand Up to Racism says: "We stand in solidarity with the refugees and migrants who have gathered in Calais seeking to enter Britain. They should be treated as human beings, not demonised as a “swarm” (as David Cameron did) or as “marauding” threats (as Philip Hammond did)".
Many thanks for your support
