Campaign Story
Hi,
My name is Norma Rodriguez and I am a PhD student at the University of Puerto Rico. After hurricane Maria, I was awarded a fellowship to travel to Northwestern University to do research for my dissertation about contemporary female directors in the Caribbean. Even though I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Illinois to do research and will be provided with a stipend for my living expenses while I am there, there are many arrangements I need to make in PR and Illinois that this stipend will not cover. Sadly, I was not able to work for a while after hurricane Maria and was forced to use all of my savings to survive for a couple of months. It is for this reason that I am opening this fundraiser, so I can cover the expenses for my research trip. Any help will put me closer to this wonderful opportunity! Thank you!
