I am a Breast Cancer survivor! I am 52 years old and started the reeducation process after being homeless as a result of becoming I'll with Breast Cancer. I have worked extremely hard and now I'm a senior ready to graduate after next semester. The main criteria for the field I chose was that it had to be a helping field. I chose Speech and Language Pathology with my concentration; working with the elderly. The road has been long and very difficult at times, having lost my Mother and eldest brother ten months apart. I wasn't sure, I could continue from the enormous heart break of losing them. My advisers stepped in and I am humbled to say " If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants". They have been my mentor's, friends and my strength when I felt, I had none left in me. Now I have come to the final phase that will bring me to the pinnacle of success of my education journey. Beiing able to enter graduate school to acquire the master's degree necessary to practice as an SLP. Will be the beginning of a new life for me and beginning of being able to give back in a way that will bring new beginning's for others. I have a great affinity toward the elderly, I am looking forward to making a difference in their lives. I am seeking donations for graduate school because there is just no way I can afford the debt that I would incur from this program. All donations will be used directly toward this degree and I will be most grateful for any assistance I should receive. Kind Regards, G
