No More Fruit Flies!

This is a simple idea. But a usefull one.

We have probably all been there. Forgetting to throw away a piece of fruit or leaving an opened can on the kitchen counter. Pretty soon the flies start appearing and before you know it they are all over the place.

Well, I guess I'm just one of those people who can not stand having tiny flies flying around me. So I did something about it.

I am an engineer (in health and environment) from Norway, and I have developed an all natural way of getting rid of fruitflies. No toxic or smelly chemicals, and safe for pets and plants.

It consists of a simple container with a tear-off lid, specially designed for catching fruit flies. Inside is a special mixture of liquid made to attract the flies and killing them when they come into contact with it. It works for several days, killing off a large number of flies. It has been tested in different environments with very good results (better than home made traps, eg. vinegar traps that smell and leaves you with a nasty fly-bath...).

The "secret" is in the design of the container, and the mixture itself. Since it does not give off any strong odors, and has a descrete look it can also be used as a very effective way to keep flies away in shops and indoor markets. Oh, and did I mention it's safe and natural?

With your contribution it will be possible to take development further and make it a finished product ready for distribution. This means making working prototypes and samples, and also developing a larger version for shop/market use. Samples of the product will be used for selling the finished products (towards local and national markets), as well as marketing (e.g. trade fairs).

Any and all funds will be used towards the goal of getting the finished product on sale, and will hopefully help a lot of people like me from going crazy over fruit flies in their homes or in their shops! But more importantly it will be usefull for small shop-owners who can not affort more expensive equipment for dealing with pests, and it can help in home hygiene in a simple and economic way. Hopefully, in time, this effective and low cost way of killing pests in a natural safe way also can be exported to other countries.

I know a new product is hard to sell. And noone expects it to be easy. But where there is a will... there is me. Working hard to do this with your help.
