On the night of Feb. 3, 2019, my cousin's house along with the others' in their compound was burned down. Until now, her family has no decent home. (They are living in San Buena Comp., Brgy Sto.Domingo, Cainta, Rizal, NCR, whereas my family lives in Visayas region. We are also struggling financially on our end. Hence, it is very sad that my family cannot do anything for them but pray. It is terrible to feel so helpless like this.)

They put up a plywood around the ruins of their home so that they can have temporary shelter. It is very difficult for them when the rain pours down. It is also very alarming and concerning that my two cousins who are both girls are living in such a condition. They are very prone to crimes, given that rape and such cases are rampant everywhere.

Although the government tries to help them but the funds are not enough to rebuild what they lost. My uncle's wife is a plain housewife, and he is merely a jeepney driver whose earning is barely enough for their basic needs like food and clothing for a family of four. (Everything they had was turned to ashes.) Just as much as I want to help them financially, but I myself have no job. So I am knocking on everyone's hearts to aid them in getting back on their feet. My heartfelt gratitude to everyone and may God bless your hearts.
