No help from government

I'm a single mother trying to keep a roof over my children's heads. I have been  out of work since the 14th of september. I have been employed continuously for the past 9 years. Since the day I became unemployed I have  had the hardest time not only finding a job.  Also  trying to get unemployment, food assistance and rental assitance. Apparently I am not behind enough or I don't have the need that others have because I'm not  3 months behind on rent and I worked half of last month.  I'm looking for any type of assistance with food, shelter and clothing cost for my Children. I am confident that I will find a job soon, even if it's only part-time.  In the mean time I just need my rent paid for this month so I can totally focus on my job search only and not what will be shut off.  I recieved my notice to quit 2 days  ago, they added another $60 to my already behind $907. I haven't been able to pay electric, car payments, insurance  or  any other bills waiting on the governments  assistance  which has proven to not work in the working woman's favor.
