My name is Nolan Ruocco, and I just turned 13 years old. I have always been passionate about cars and racing, so at age 6, my parents got me started in microd racing at LittleWheels Raceway in Groton, NY. I raced for 3 years there and achieved the Championship title in the Finger Lakes Novice Microd Class.

I then moved to Open Wheel cars and began racing in the Limited class at Cortland’s Midstate Microd Club and the NYSMA (New York State Microd Association) tour. I won a few races and learned a lot about my strengths as a driver. I finished 3rd at the club level and was competitive on the state tour.

During the summer of 2011, I participated in a Driving Academy at F1 Boston, a premier karting facility. I came out with my Junior Competition License, a need to drive FAST and a stronger will to reach my dream to be a professional driver! I am determined to be successful in this very competitive sport.

We purchased a Haase kart from Mike Doty Racing and received trackside support and coaching from his team at the end of the 2011 race season. My father is my mechanic and he does the majority of the work on my car to save money. I competed in the Rotax Northeast Series and the New Jersey Sprint Series for the last two months of the 2011 season, driving at the Junior Rotax level and showed I was a force to be reckoned with.

For the 2012 race season, I participated in the F-Series Gear-Up Challenge, the New Jersey Sprint Series, the Northeast Rotax Series and the Rotax Grand Nationals. As my stats show, I have grown tremendously as a driver and had very solid results! For 2012, I had 9 wins, 69% of finishes in the top 3 and 82% of finishes in the top 5! The Northeast Rotax drivers I compete and place ahead of regularly are some of the strongest drivers in the Junior Rotax Nationally. Of the top 35 nationally ranked Junior Rotax drivers, the Northeast represents over 20%!

In April 2012, I trained with Tom Dyer at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California which vastly improved my braking and steering skills. I continue to work with the Mike Doty Racing Team and receive driver instruction frequently to continue my growth as a driver.

In addition to racing, I also enjoy playing my saxophone and violin, basketball, singing and theatre. I enjoy public speaking and performing and hope to be able to one day do this in my career representing sponsors. I am a High Honors student and a leader in my school. I have very high expectations of myself and will strive to do my best in all I set out to accomplish.

To continue training and racing competitively in 4 select series in the upcoming 2013 season, I would like to find businesses or individuals who believe in me and my dream. My goal is to eventually drive for a team that can help me secure a place as a professional driver.

Please check out my website for more information and a youtube link for some racing action. www.nmracing.net . I look forward to working with you and proving my determination and focus on becoming a professional driver.
