I am a South African Speech Language Therapist and Nkosana Motaung is a previous student of mine,. Even though we both left the institution some time ago, we have kept in contact though WhatsApp.
Nkosana is severely handicapped and uses a electric wheelchair. Since school he was interested and played in the sport code Boccha. This is a sport for people with disabilities sharing similarities with bowels.
Through dedication and hard work, Nkosana was chosen for the Free State Boccha team to take part in Port Elizabeth. To go each participant need to pay ZAR 4500,00 equivalent to about USD 315,00.If unable to pay, he will be disqualified from the team.
For a person with a disability, coming from a disadvantaged background, this is a lot off money to get together. The money need to be paid in by end February.
Nkosana is a hard working young man currently studying at Oxbridge Academy College towards Tourism Management.
I am hopingthat we can raise the money to help him reach his dream of going to Nationals in PortElizabeth.
