Nina Clarke REHAB

Nina Clarke has been one of Victoria's leading Eventing riders over the past 3 decades. Nina has put in many hours over the years working behind the scenes on various event committees and endless hours have gone into coaching of all levels from Pony Clubs through to the Victoria Eventing Squads.

On the 2nd of Feb this year whilst out on a fitness ride near home the horse she was riding fell on her and she sustained horrific multiple unstable pelvic fractures

Nina was hospitalised for 10 days and has since been discharged home to a special hospital bed which she will be confined to for at least the next month.

She will require extensive rehabilitation over the next 12 months to have any chance of returning to competitive riding. A large part of Nina's income is derived from riding and coaching and as such her ability to cover the costs of the required rehab is going to be significantly impacted.

Everyone who knows Nina will know that she would be the first to reach out to help another. This is our chance to chip in a small donation to help her get back to what she loves doing.

The money will be directed towards the associated costs of her rehab and also some modifications to her arena area to assist with wheelchair/crutches access, this will enable Nina to hopefully return to some coaching as soon as she is allowed to be a little more mobile.

Any additional funds beyond Nina's requirements will be donated to spinal injury research, an area that has significant relevance to equestrian sports.
