Nikki’s Walking the Bridgnorth Walk

Yes once again I'm donning my walking shoes and taking off on the annual 22 mile hike from Bridgnorth High Street up the Brown Clee and back, but this time I'm raising funds for three charities!! My niece successfully beat meningitis in December 2014 and despite it leaving her deaf in one ear it could have been so much worse.  This is a deadly illness that can affect anyone and our aim is to help raise as much money as possible for Meningitis UK to help them raise awareness of the disease and in research to combat it.  I'm also walking for the Quatt Strollers. This fantastic bunch of people are all volunteers keeping Quatt Village Hall, a beautiful builidng in the village of Quatt just outside of Bridgnorth, alive. The community is thriving thanks to their hard work and they put on some amazing events that everyone, no matter where they live can enjoy. But keeping the Hall running costs money, so raising as much as possible is always important. Depsite their charitable status however, they also nominate a charity every year that they help to raise funds for too, hence my third charity Arthritis UK which has been chosen this year. Arthiritis can be a crippling disease that can strike anyone young or old, dramatically affecting their way of life, and fundraising is vitally important to help them with their work.  Three good causes.  So I need to raise loads to help make a difference. Anything you can give, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
