Nik and Kayla’s Wedding

Hey Guys!

Sweet Mary has it been a year.  It has been a roller coaster ride from the very beginning with twists and turns, both good and bad, that have led us to this point.  Of course, we cannot thank all of you enough for being there when we needed it most, albeit a shoulder to cry on or just someone to listen, we have reached an impasse of sorts.  Our wedding stands on the brink, as it were.  We won't burden you with a story of hard times and fixed budgets because God knows we hear enough of that ourselves at our respective work places, just know that between losing jobs and paying for a lawyer to win a custody fight we have fallen short of paying for everything.  It is not easy being full-time students, working full-time, and raising children.  Therefore, instead of buying a gift from a registry of things we truly do not need (we just wanted to play with the price gun) we are asking that you donate any amount to help us finish paying for our wedding day.  We ask this because toasters break, gift cards get lost, and who really needs a set of fine china?  Instead we are asking that you help us make this dream a reality and that with your donation you are giving more than just a finanical hand, you are ensuring that we receive something much greater than matching linens.  You are giving us a chance to create memories, something that doesn't need a gift receipt or will break with time.  You are giving us a day of happiness after so many dark months have worn us down.  We know that some cannot give much, we are simply asking that you give what you can to help us make this day the 'day to best all other days.'

Thank you all for your love and support.  We honestly don't know where we'd be without it.
